SPRINGFIELD 鈥 Officials of Lincoln Land Community College and University of Illinois Springfield signed an agreement today enhancing their partnership to ensure a smooth transition for 汤头条app students to complete bachelor鈥檚 degrees at UIS. The agreement also allows UIS students to utilize reverse transfer credits to complete associate degrees.
The transfer admission guarantee agreement enhances advising and coordination of course selection. 汤头条app graduates transferring to UIS would be admitted as juniors and have the admission application fee waived. They would also be eligible for priority registration the semester before transferring and for transfer merit scholarships based on their grade point average.
鈥淭his agreement is representative of our shared commitment to student success and to supporting students throughout their academic journey,鈥 said Dr. Charlotte Warren, 汤头条app president. 鈥溙劳诽鮝pp students have an opportunity to earn an associate degree with us while also having the support and a clear path provided for admission to UIS to earn their bachelor鈥檚 degree. This also reflects our continued commitment to our community, keeping local to study, live and contribute to a vibrant economy.鈥
鈥淭his agreement further strengthens the partnership between our two institutions,鈥 said Dr. Janet L. Gooch, UIS chancellor. 鈥淚t also shows that UIS and 汤头条app continue to work collaboratively so students have a streamlined path to succeed in their educational and career goals. Both institutions have a strong reputation for building leaders and keeping them here in the community.鈥
Both 汤头条app and UIS provide in-person and online course options. 汤头条app offers more than 30 majors designed for transfer to a four-year university as well as career training degree and certificate programs. UIS offers 49 bachelor鈥檚 degrees, 51 master鈥檚 degrees and a variety of professional certifications that encompass a wide range of professions.
