Title IX Provisions for Pregnant Students

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 is a comprehensive federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex, including pregnancy or related condition, in any federally funded education program or activity. Lincoln Land Community College must give pregnant students the same access to school programs and educational opportunities as any other student.

Pregnant students may request accommodations based on general pregnancy needs or a pregnancy related complication. This could include consideration for pregnancy-related absences.

If you are pregnant and would like to discuss your educational needs and accommodations available during pregnancy and post-partum, please email Randi Riemann, or call 217-786-3689.
