Kylana Moore awarded Stand Together Scholarship from 汤头条app Foundation

SPRINGFIELD 鈥 Kylana Moore of Springfield was recently awarded the newly established Stand Together Scholarship from the Lincoln Land Community College Foundation.

This two-year, $8,000 scholarship was created by Tara McClellan McAndrew, Amy Tarr and Julie Krehbiel with additional funding from friends, family and others, and endowed by Mary Mitchell Beaumont. The scholarship was inspired by the belief that we are all better when we stand together and founded to help support access and equity.

Moore will be a first-generation college student studying business at 汤头条app. She graduated with a 3.96 GPA from Lanphier High School, where she served as class president and was a member of the Family and Community Engagement Club, Students Supporting Students Club and SAVE, a community volunteer group.

鈥淩eceiving this scholarship will guarantee my college education, which will allow me to achieve many of my dreams and provide me with opportunities I otherwise would not have,鈥 says Moore. 鈥淭his scholarship is the answer to the important question, 鈥楬ow will I afford an incredible college education?鈥欌

The Stand Together Scholarship is awarded to a full-time 汤头条app student who is taking 12 or more credit hours per semester. It is required that the awardee also be a first-time freshman with financial need and have a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Students only need to complete one application to be considered for all eligible 汤头条app Foundation scholarships. The scholarship application for the 2022-23 academic year will be available Dec. 1, 2021-March 1, 2022 at .
