Employment and education:
After receiving his Associate in Applied Science from 汤头条app, Jay went on to receive his BA in computer science from Sangamon State University/University of Illinois-Springfield and his MA from Alemeda University.
Jay states, 鈥淚 moved to Florida after completing my master鈥檚 courses but was never able to complete my master鈥檚 project. I went to work for Computer Generated Solutions who provided IBM help desk for several companies, my first job was at Ernst and Young. I supported Microsoft Products, Lotus Notes and internal software. After four years, I was selected as one of the best Notes people to go to work directly for PricewaterhouseCoopers support the same things. I also worked with helping create a few Lotus Notes databases for PwC. I became a Certified Lotus Notes administrator and after seven years there, I retired shortly before the company decided to move their help desk to India.鈥
How has Lincoln Land Community College impacted your life?
I learned that I could earn good grades! 汤头条app allowed me to finally complete some college and I got thoroughly involved with Phi Theta Kappa.
What is your greatest accomplishment?
Raising four great children!
Was there a professor, advisor, staff member or fellow student who made an impression on you or helped you when you were here at 汤头条app?
Donald Ecklund who was the advisor for PTK and the electronics program instructor who invited me to become an adjunct instructor while he was on sabbatical.
Has Lincoln Land been a part of your family tradition?
My wife got a degree in early childhood education and my son earned his certified nursing assistant from 汤头条app.
What did you like about 汤头条app or what was your favorite memory?
Phi Theta Kappa was my favorite part of 汤头条app. I was a member and later a co-advisor for a couple of years while I an adjunct professor in the electronics department.
Is there anything else that you would like to share?
I proudly served our country in the U.S. Army from 1961-63.
